Hands down favorite place in town 😋
It's always great ! My favorite restaurant on Monroe
They have a great variety of Indian food that tastes very good. Some things can be improved, but overall it's a good place to dine at. They are fairly priced and you will get your money's worth for sure. They also have a good grocery collection. The staff is friendly too.
Great people, great food, great service and great value. We love Taste of India!
Their new location is great! A larger buffet table, but the pans are shallower so food is fresher and changed rapidly. We have always considered this as one of our favorites, and they are really stepping up their game.
Great Indian food, grocery & buffet.
This is the best Indian food in the Monroe la. Friendly people and lunch buffet tue thru sat not sure about Sunday . If you order off the menu it is even better. But if you don't know idian food do the buffet first so you can give them a idea what you want . .
Quality Indian food buffet ie good veg and meat options. I do not recommend going close to closing time though. They made me feel extremely rushed. I will return but not this month.
Oh. My. Goodness. This is absolutely the best Indian food I have ever tasted in my whole life. Everything ive ever had here has been SO flavorful, SO delicious! Ive never regretted anything ive tried here. Absolutely try this place out. The food is simply amazing!
I usually go to Little India on N. 4th for their butter chicken, chicken tikka Masala, and chicken samosas, but I decided to try all 3 at Taste of India tonight to see the difference. The food, flavor, and service at Taste of India was poor and left much to be desired. Additionally, the naan I ordered was burnt and the atmosphere of the restaurant was cold and unwelcoming. Little India reigns superior by far! If you want great Indian cuisine in a warm, welcoming atmosphere, try Little India on N. 4th in Monroe. You will not be disappointed.
In my top 5 favorite restaurants, not just in Monroe, but anywhere. It's extremely rare for me to encounter a dish I dislike. The quality of the food is excellent. The lunch buffet is the best way to try a bunch of different things. They always have a few crowd pleasing dishes available, and then they rotate the other dishes. You'll get to try a bunch of new things and enjoy your old favorites. So so SO good! And the new location is charming!
Biryani was stale..Buffet had limited choice, bland taste.Gulab jamun was awful...Dal makini was ok
I had chicken kadai curry with garlic nan and mutton biryani. Chicken curry was good but I wish it had more spicy flavor to it. Mutton biryani was okay type, with lot of ghee. After some time, it felt as if I was eating only ghee. But it had good aroma of all traditional spices. Overall I would rate it 4 star. I might go to this place again.
Excellent! I'm coming back!
Great service and the food is AMAZING! I'm so happy we have such a great Indian restaurant in our town!
This place is amazing. The food is phenomenally delicious. My wife and I had to evacuate from New Orleans due to the hurricane. Being able to eat here was the "Silver Lining" in our dark skies.
Wow! What can I say! Having this place in Monroe is amazing! If you haven't tried it, well what are you waiting for?!?!?! GO!!! Great place to grab lunch with friends or even a quick business lunch! At lunch you have options thanks to the buffet! So you get to try something you normally wouldn't!This is a must do here in NELA!Andrew
In town for my birthday visiting my parents and they decided on this restaurant, the staff was not very welcoming, the food was not that great either. It looks like it is the only choice for Indian food in Monroe.
New Favorite Place! The food was amazing and the service was some of the best I have had in awhile. Not to mention the grocery section!💗
Delish food, great costumer service. A little grocery inside. Clean, will be back . thank you

Awesome Food and very friendly and people
I have a new favorite restaurant! If you want an authentic meal that is FULL OF FLAVOR, stop by Taste of India. Make sure to ask for Addie. This young gentleman recommended the shrimp Curry and it was outstanding! My husband and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was excellent. They give you a good amount of food and such nice authentic Indian serving dishes. It will give your taste buds a wake-up call of what you have been missing. Will be going back soon.
Food is really good first time tryin Indian I love it
Great food, great service, always spotless!
I'm a vegan and they are able to accomidiate me. The staff is awesome make you very comfortable. You also purchase some products that you wouldn't be able elsewhere.
Taste of India never disappoints. We are always greeted with a smile, the food is rich and savory, the naan is fresh and hot! I couldn't ask for anything better than the family-friendly atmosphere and outstanding cuisine offered at this establishment.
Very good food! India food at it's best! Service is very good also and I love that they put fresh flowers out.!
Good food with wide varieties. Great customer service. It also got shopping section for Indian and Nepalese foods and goods.
the Best buffet in town... chai mmm) keep up the good work!
This place is amazing! During the day and week they do a buffet and that's where you're going to get your money's worth. Very authentic and delicious food. The service is fine but it's mostly serve yourself if you go during the buffet.
Taste of India is one of a small selection of Indian restaurants in the twin cities. Their food is mouth-wateringly good. I went with a party of 3 and we enjoyed that all the meals were plated in a way that we could sample each others meals without eating after each other. Everything was so good! The staff was friendly and helpful and we left very satisfied.
Most wanted restaurant of Monroe, Louisiana without hesitation as far myself. Variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian menu there. Buffet dinner too. Taste and price not bad. Some fryums like tortillas given free of cost, to munch with spicy sauce before your order is served, a novel idea which elsewhere not seen. Delicious North Indian delicacies available. A tidy grocery, canned food, beverages can be tried. Useful news papers, pamphlets, magazines for benefit of customers. TO GO, service awailed by many. Clean rest room, disable friendly parking service. The best part is the young owner as if that no stone is unturned, interacts with customers in friendly way to ensure a second visit. I think no nonsense restaurant in Monroe you may try and decide.
Nice place and good food
Amazing service! Absolutely delicious food, we will be making this one of our favorite restaurants!
Buffet food was great. Even my 6 year old liked the food.
Awesome food. Great staff.
Had a great experience Tuesday and Friday night with the food as well as the staff. Went for lunch today and the owners attitude was horrible towards us. The new location is extremely nice but the owner needs to change his attitude towards his customers or he will lose his clientele. I found him to be quite rude and unwelcoming. They have a nice family oriented staff that works well together , which makes the environment a nice and cozy one. Great job on the staff and the food.
Best food in the twin cities hands down. Order the butter chicken or go for lunch and try the buffet. You will love it!
Wow!!! Let me say that again WOW!Yes you should try this place, little India was fantastic and they are so friendly... but honestly i would go back even if they weren’t amazingly sweet because the food was scrumptious!
Must try the coffee!!!I am a young black American from Atlanta Georgia and this is one of the first places that my boss took me to eat when I moved to Monroe for a project. This place has food that is amazing as all the food in Louisiana seems to be — this is no exception. The staff was fast and friendly and very respectful. The place has of course the curry Indian smell but it also has an authentic store inside so of course you would expect that. The best part to me was the coffee that I had both before and after my meal. It was really authentic ginger and cocoa coffee of some sort and it was just really soothing and the way it was served it was really soothing as well. I had to rate this place five stars because I did not taste anything that was not amazing and everything was brought out really timely and tasted really fresh. If you are a vegan this is a must try place there were a lot of vegan dishes and all of them tasted amazing. Good job “Taste of India”. Don’t ever go away!
My favorite restaurant of all time !! I am vegan and it’s very hard to find restaurants that accommodate me in this area . Taste of India I don’t have that problem at alll ... the food is absolutely amazing and full of flavor. Service is also great !! I drive 30 minutes to eat there lol .
They had very friendly service and the food was so tasty!!! Everything had such a great flavor.... I'm so glad we found such a great indian restaurant!! Please eat there...its definitely worth it!!!
This is absolutely my favorite place to eat in the West Monroe/Monroe area! The staff is always so nice and the food is amazing! I have never had anything bad here.
Whether you come in at the beginning of the buffet hours or at the end - The food is amazing coupled with the pleasantness of the staff ... 5 STARS! My family & friends love to come here for great food, friendly family atmosphere and excellent service!Want to experience a TASTE OF INDIA right here in the Twin Cities? Come in and try it out!! You will NOT be disappointed! ❤️
Authentic Indian food. Very tasty and a great place to grab a quick lunch. Make sure you arrive early because the parking will back up fast.
Best Indian food and staff is very friendly. Moreover you can get Indian groceries from here
This is a great place for authentic Indian food. The food we ordered was outstanding and the owner who helped us at the register was very kind. They have an awesome selection of meatless options & were quick in service. The Butter Chicken is absolutely delicious and the Chicken Tikka Masala is phenomenal & very tender. One must try their Garlic Naan which is soft and crispy.Overall,I had found an excellent place to get the true flavors of Indian food. The name really justified. I would recommend everyone who wants to taste Indian food must try their Buffet and advise you to call ahead for your To Go orders to cut down on the wait time.....
This restaurant was a pleasant suprise. A must happen experience. Please try the mango drinks.
